Tor Publishing Group’s mission is to be the destination for all things genre. We house six imprints: Tor Books, Forge Books, TorDotCom Publishing, Nightfire, Tor Teen, Starscape, and Bramble publishing Adult, Teen, and Middle-Grade titles. Our genres include science fiction, fantasy, mystery, thriller, magical realism, speculative fiction, humor, contemporary fiction, and romance among others.
At TPG, we place tremendous value on building relationships and maintaining open lines of communication. To that end, we’ve prepared this guide to the editorial staff at all of our imprints. It’s our way of inviting you to get to know us better, of assisting you in matching the right project to the right editor, and of encouraging you to reach out to us.
TPG Editorial actively requests submissions from writers from underrepresented populations. This includes, but is not limited to: writers of any race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, class and physical or mental ability. We believe that good stories reflect the incredible diversity and potential of the human species, and hope our catalog will reflect that.
At TPG we want writers to have the best experience possible and part of that is making sure their manuscript gets to the right editor for the project. We’ve put this guide together to help make those determinations, and we ask that the material be submitted to only one editor. That editor will have the final word with regard to the submission.
We hope you find this guide helpful, and we look forward to hearing from you.
